Pendium's terms have one line every Pro customer should read before cancelling. "Blog availability is subject to your active subscription, and we may discontinue hosting upon account termination."
That line matters because of how Pendium publishes. Its pricing page says Pendium "hosts your Site at agents.yourdomain.com," and its docs call that Site "the primary home" for your content. Mirroring to your own blog is optional.
So if you never connected a CMS, your Pendium articles may exist only on Pendium's hosting. This guide covers moving from Pendium.ai, the AI visibility platform at pendium.ai, to RankControl without losing those pages or your scan history. We checked every Pendium detail below against its site, pricing page, docs, terms and privacy policy on September 26, 2026. Our RankControl vs Pendium.ai comparison covers the product differences.
What comes with you when you switch from Pendium
| In Pendium | Can you take it? | Where it lands in RankControl |
|---|---|---|
| Articles mirrored to WordPress, Webflow or Ghost | Already on your blog | Link targets, found by a sitemap scan |
| Articles only on your Pendium Site | Copy them to your own CMS first | Your CMS, then link targets |
| Visibility scans and scores | Pull through the API or a data request | A baseline to compare against |
| Personas and topics | Copy by hand | Buyer profiles in Brand Control |
| Tracked queries | Copy the list | Tracked queries (up to 50) |
| Monthly credits | Reset each billing cycle | Nothing to carry |
Move articles off the hosted Site first
Start here if your content lives on an agents subdomain. Pendium's CMS docs say it "publishes to your site first," and mirroring to WordPress, Webflow or Ghost is "optional and additive." If you connected one of those, your articles are already native posts on your own blog. If you didn't, do this before you cancel:
- List every article on your Pendium Site, with its URL.
- Copy each article into your own CMS. WordPress, Webflow and Ghost all work, and all three are RankControl destinations.
- Decide what happens to the agents subdomain. Pointing it at your main blog with redirects keeps anything that linked to those URLs working.
- Update the DNS record for the subdomain once the new pages are live.
- Load a sample of old URLs to confirm they redirect to the new pages.
When you copy each article, keep its structure. Headings, comparison tables and FAQ sections are the parts AI answers tend to quote, so bring them across as they are, along with each page's title and meta description.

Get your scan history out
We didn't find a one-click CSV or PDF export in Pendium's docs. There are two ways to get your data.
The first is the API, if you're on Pro. Pendium's REST API includes a report endpoint that returns full scan reports, including the raw AI responses. Pull a report for each topic while your API access still works, and save the JSON.
The second is a data request. Pendium's privacy policy lists a right to "download a comprehensive copy of your data, including your account information, visibility scan results, and generated content." It says requests are handled "typically" within 30 days. So send the request early, well before your last billing date.
Time it around your renewal
Pro costs $350 a month on monthly billing, or $3,540 billed yearly ($295 a month), with 5 million credits a month that reset each billing cycle. Pendium's terms say "all fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law," and paid plans "renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date."
So plan backwards from your renewal date. Send the data request at least a month ahead, move hosted articles in the weeks after, and cancel just before renewal.
Your competitors are building backlinks while you read this.
Organic outreach, social mentions, and citations from Editorial Circle member sites, with managed backlinks available as an add-on. Grow your domain authority without running the campaign yourself.

Save your setup
Pendium builds a lot of structure around your brand, and most of it transfers well:
- Copy your personas. Pendium monitors with 10 simulated buyer personas, and each one describes a type of buyer you care about.
- Copy your topics and the queries under each one.
- Note your Core, Adjacent and Aspirational scores, since they show where you're strong and where you're not yet named.
- Save the top competitors and top cited sources from your latest scans.
- Copy the recommended actions you haven't done yet.
These carry straight into RankControl as buyer profiles, tracked queries and a first content plan.
Disconnect Pendium
Remove the credentials you gave Pendium for WordPress, Webflow or Ghost. On self-hosted WordPress, that means revoking its application password in your user profile. Remove the Pendium MCP server from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and delete any API keys you created. If you connected social accounts for brand voice analysis, revoke those too.
Take a baseline before you switch
Pendium's homepage lists seven platforms. RankControl checks six engines every week, and five of them overlap. DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews aren't in RankControl's panel. Screenshot your last Pendium readings for those two, because they'll be your only record.
A thread in r/GEO_optimization in September asked people why they renewed or cancelled AI visibility tools. One reply said they kept the tool that "showed historical visibility trends, citation changes, and competitor comparisons," and cancelled one that "only gave vanity metrics without clear actions." Keep that test in mind as you set up the next tool.
Another reply in the same thread said three tools showed zero visibility while the team was getting traffic and even leads from AI platforms. That's a good reason to read your analytics next to any tracker. RankControl's analytics count visits from AI crawlers and from people who clicked through from an AI answer, so both numbers sit side by side.
What made you renew or cancel an AI visibility tool?
I’m developing a product in this space and want to understand what people actually find worth paying for. If you’ve paid for AI visibility tracking, what was the last decision you made because of something the tool showed you? What did you...
Where everything lands in RankControl
Start with Brand Control. It reads your live site and drafts your voice, products, buyers and competitors, and you correct what it got wrong. Turn your Pendium personas into buyer profiles, and add up to three of your best articles as style references.
Next, connect a publishing destination. RankControl publishes native posts to nine, including WordPress, Webflow and Ghost. It doesn't host content for you, so every article lives in a CMS you own and stays there whatever you decide later. Run the sitemap scan so new articles link into the ones you moved.
Then move your queries in, up to 50. AI visibility tracking checks each one weekly on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Google AI Mode. You see which competitors got named instead of you and which sources were quoted.
The content engine turns your gaps into articles. It plans titles from your buyers' questions, writes each one against the pages already ranking for it, and covers 26 content formats. Auto-publish stays off until you turn it on.
For links, Link Control finds prospects for each published article and drafts outreach from your own mailbox. Managed Backlinks adds five links a month from DR 25+ sites for $350.
Pendium goes further on how it reads AI answers. It simulates ten personas, shows the reasoning behind each answer and covers DeepSeek and AI Overviews, and its free tier includes a baseline scan.

You're getting AI traffic. But do you know where it comes from?
RankControl credits every visit to the assistant that sent it: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Grok. Full source attribution, next to your Google traffic.
The switch from Pendium, step by step
- Send a data request for your account, scans and content: about 10 minutes, a month ahead.
- Pull scan reports through the API if you're on Pro: 30 to 60 minutes.
- Move hosted articles to your CMS and set up redirects: 2 to 4 hours, if you used the hosted Site.
- Copy personas, topics, queries and competitors: about 30 minutes.
- Start RankControl's 7-day free trial and let setup read your site: about 15 minutes.
- Correct the brand draft and add buyer profiles: 30 to 45 minutes.
- Add tracked queries and competitors, then connect your CMS: about 45 minutes.
- Revoke Pendium's access, then cancel before renewal.
That's three to four hours of work, or a day with a hosted Site move, spread across your last billing month.
What changes after the switch
The pricing model changes. Pendium Pro is $350 a month in credits, or $295 a month billed yearly, with a Managed tier at $4,950 for a team that does the work. RankControl is one plan at $400 a month or $4,000 a year, with 100 pages, 50 tracked queries on six engines and five seats.
Where your content lives changes too. Every RankControl article is a native post on your own site. A weekly email sums up new citations, ranking moves and visits from AI answers.
You can run this loop by hand: write the pages, publish them, pitch the links and check six engines every week. Or RankControl's agents can run it every month while you focus on your product.
