- AI providers: Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT-4) for content generation — we send brand context and topic data, never personal information
- Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena, or government request
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Convex (database) and Hetzner (application hosting). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
5. Lead Data
When visitors interact with articles we publish to your website, our embedded lead capture and analytics collect visitor data including referral source (Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.), queries used, pages viewed, and form submissions. This data is made available to you through the RankControl dashboard. You are responsible for your own compliance with privacy laws regarding the leads we capture on your behalf.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Generated content and analytics data may be retained in anonymized form for service improvement.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request restriction of processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
8. International Transfers
