Peec AI prints the same three words under its Starter, Pro and Advanced plans: "Choose 3 models." At $95, $245 or $495 a month, you pick three from a base list of six. Claude, Grok and Perplexity aren't on that list at all. They sit with Peec's Enterprise plan, alongside the rest of its "up to 13 LLM models tracked."
We call that the three-model ceiling, and it's one of two reasons people search for Peec AI alternatives. The other came up in a September r/automation thread. A Peec user asked for tools that help them act on the data instead of watching it, and a bigger plan doesn't fix that one.
We make RankControl, and it's second on this list, behind Semrush's toolkit. Everything about the other tools comes from their own pricing and product pages, which I checked on September 26, 2026. The list runs from the big suites to the smaller specialists.
Why people look for Peec AI alternatives
The three-model ceiling is the practical one. On Starter you might track ChatGPT, AI Mode and AI Overviews, and every extra model after that costs $30 a month, rising to $70 on Pro and $140 on Advanced. Perplexity being Enterprise-only surprises people, since most trackers include it by default.

The second reason is what happens after the dashboard. In that r/automation thread, the replies agreed there's a gap between seeing that an engine cites a rival and having the page that changes it. People described bridging it with spreadsheets and task boards they built themselves.
Peec alternatives that help you act, not just watch?
Used Peec for a few months. Fine for the basics, but two gripes keep coming back: · I don't want to type prompts in manually. Just show me where my brand appears. · The data is there, but turning it into "change this page, publish there" is...
The numbers themselves are the third wrinkle. A practitioner who signed up for several of these trackers in the same week reported that one tool's automatic competitor list named seven companies that weren't competitors at all. The same poster noted that the same prompt can get different answers depending on where it's asked, so two trackers rarely agree to the decimal.
Peec vs OtterlyAI vs Profound vs Llumo — anyone using these for AI search visibility?
I've been looking more seriously at AI visibility/AEO tools recently — mainly tracking how brands appear across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews/AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot etc. The names that keep coming up are Peecai**, OtterlyAI and...
Peec does some things well, and they're worth knowing before you leave. Every plan has unlimited users and an MCP server, even Starter, and its AI Shopping analytics track visibility down to the product.

The 8 best Peec AI alternatives
1. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
If your team already lives in Semrush, this is the natural move. The standalone toolkit starts at $99 a month, and the Starter plan, $199 monthly or $165.17 billed yearly, bundles it with the SEO suite and 50 prompts tracked daily. Semrush generates prompts from your domain and tracks the answers on Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini make up the rest, and the toolkit's reports update weekly.
There's also a free AI Search Visibility Checker with no signup, which is a quick way to see the kind of data you'd get before paying.

Claude and Grok aren't tracked. What you get instead is AI data next to keyword, backlink and audit data from the biggest SEO suite on the market, which is why it's first here.
2. RankControl
RankControl is the one on this list built around the complaint from that r/automation thread. It tracks 50 queries every week across six engines on its single plan, Claude, Grok and Perplexity included, so there's no model to choose and no Enterprise tier to unlock.

When a query shows a rival cited and you missing, the content engine plans an article for it. It writes the article against the pages already ranking and scores how easily AI engines can quote it. It publishes to your CMS through one of nine destinations after you approve it, and Link Control drafts outreach for each article from your own mailbox. It also tracks up to 10 competitors in your share of voice. Its MCP server lets you do all of this from Claude, with publishing held as a dry run until you confirm. The plan is $400 a month or $4,000 a year, with 100 pages a month and a 7-day free trial.
3. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs took the index route. Brand Radar's AI Visibility Index covers more than 449 million monthly prompts, modeled on real searches from Ahrefs' keyword database. Six engines feed it, with Copilot among them, so you can look up any brand without setting anything up. It starts at $199 a month.

Custom Prompts, for tracking your own questions, comes free with every paid Ahrefs plan, from Lite at $129 a month with 5 prompts a day. Extra checks start at $50 a month for 2,500 more. Custom Prompts adds Claude to the engine list, and Grok isn't covered. Lite also includes API and MCP access.
4. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ is the closest thing here to a different category. Its free Essential tier covers five engines on 300 credits. Starter, at $295 a month, opens all 11 models, Claude and Grok included, on 3,600 credits, where one credit is one AI response.

The bigger difference is that AthenaHQ publishes. Its integrations page names eight CMSs, from WordPress and Shopify to Sanity and Payload, and its Action Center includes a feature called Citation Outreach. The public pages don't show how outreach finds contacts or sends email, so ask for a demo of that part. Its August update also expanded tracking to 185 markets, down to city level, which matters if you sell locally. We compared the move in switching from AthenaHQ.
5. Profound
Profound raised $180 million at a $1.8 billion valuation on September 15, and its pricing reflects the enterprise focus. There's a free 7-day trial with 50 prompts a day on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. Everything after that is a custom Enterprise quote covering up to nine engines, Claude among them and Grok absent.

Its Agents research, write and publish with an approval step, so like AthenaHQ it goes past tracking. Agencies can add client workspaces at $399 a month each. Pricing is the catch for small teams, since there's no self-serve plan between the trial and a sales call. We covered it in detail in RankControl vs Profound.

Organic outreach, social mentions, and link exchanges, with managed backlinks available as an add-on. Grow your domain authority without running the campaign yourself.

6. Scrunch AI
Scrunch's Core plan is $250 a month for 125 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, with a self-serve 7-day trial. New prompts are checked daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours, and you can refresh any time. Enterprise raises the engine count to nine, adding Claude and Grok.

Its distinctive feature is AXP, available on Enterprise, which serves an AI-optimized version of your existing pages to AI bots at the CDN edge. Scrunch's own FAQ is clear that it "doesn't publish new content," so it improves pages you have rather than writing the ones you're missing. Core includes five user licenses and one page optimization a month.
7. Rankscale
Rankscale is the flexible budget pick. Plans run on credits from $20 a month, and Pro is $99 with a 7-day trial. Every paid plan covers more than a dozen engines, Claude and Grok included.
The credits are where you'll want a calculator. A Claude check costs 2 credits against a quarter credit for ChatGPT or Gemini, so a Claude-heavy prompt set burns through Pro's 1,200 monthly credits much faster. Checks can run anywhere from hourly to monthly per search term. It's monitoring only, with no content or outreach.
8. Otterly.AI
Otterly is the cheapest way to start. Lite is $29 a month, or $25 billed yearly, for 15 prompts on four engines. Those are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, and team members are unlimited on every plan. Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons, Claude costing $29 a month on Lite, and Grok isn't offered. Standard, at $189, raises you to 100 prompts and adds API and MCP access. Its audits and recommendations stop short of writing anything. Our Otterly.AI alternatives list goes deeper on it.
What to test during a trial
Trackers disagree with each other, so the trial is where you find out which one you'd trust. Pick ten questions your buyers actually ask and run them in two tools during the same week. Then compare which engines each tool covered and whether the cited pages match what you see when you ask yourself. If you're already on Peec, our guide to switching from Peec AI covers exports and notice.
Check the competitor list it builds for you before you trust any share-of-voice number, since that's where the Reddit poster above found seven wrong names. Look at the refresh cadence too. A daily check sounds better, but a single AI answer changes from one ask to the next, so a rate over several weeks is the number to watch.
Last, try exporting something. Peec's MCP server is on every plan while its API starts at Pro, and Otterly's API and MCP start at Standard. Make sure the data you'd need later isn't locked behind a plan you won't buy.
Which Peec AI alternative fits your team?
Start with the question behind that r/automation thread: once the tracker shows a gap, who fixes it?
If your team already has writers and an SEO lead who acts on reports, a tracker is enough. Semrush's toolkit makes sense inside an existing Semrush account, and Ahrefs Brand Radar suits teams that want to research any brand without setup. Rankscale or Otterly will do if budget decides it.
Agencies have their own math. AthenaHQ and Peec both include unlimited members, Profound sells client workspaces at $399 a month each, and Otterly's agency partners get 150 prompts on Standard instead of 100. Count clients before you count features.
If nobody on your team has time to turn a gap into a published page, a tracker only adds another dashboard. AthenaHQ and Profound both write and publish, at $295 and enterprise prices respectively. RankControl does the whole loop, tracking six engines weekly and then writing, publishing and pitching the page, for $400 a month. Before you buy anything, the free AI visibility check shows where ChatGPT cites you today.
Our pick
Peec is a good tracker held back by the three-model ceiling. The alternatives that fix that ceiling and stop at tracking, like Rankscale, solve half the problem.
You can close gaps by hand: read the dashboard, brief a writer, publish, pitch and re-check every engine each week. Or RankControl's agents can run that loop every month for $400, with a 7-day free trial, while your team decides what goes live.

You're getting AI traffic. But do you know where it comes from?
RankControl credits every visit to the assistant that sent it: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Grok. Full source attribution, next to your Google traffic.
